Analysis of my images

In this image I particularity like the lighting, I like the lighting in this image because there is lots of grey, white and black. I like how the lighting in the background is a dark grey which makes my model stand out a lot more than she would if the background was really light. I like how the lighting makes my models eyes stand out more because her eyes look dark, by having the lighting like this it makes the eyes stand out the most on the face, were as if you look at the nose and the mouth they don't stand out as much, i like the eyes to stand out the most because when looking at an image with a person i tend to look into the persons eyes to go deeper into an image, so by making the eyes stand out as much as i have i think people looking at my work would also go straight to her eyes. I like my image in black and white because it creates a kind of vintage look, i think by having an image which looks old and black and white it creates more of a mood and allows the audience to see more emotion. I like the composition in this image because she isn't just placed in the middle of the image, she is placed more the to right hand side, and the image is taken at a lowish angle and not eye level, i like this because i think having an object bang on in the middle and at eye level it looks boring and there isn't much to write about, i also think having your image placed somewhere rather than the middle it's different and quite professional. I also notice there is a range of different textures in this image, for example the wall isn't smooth and flat is 3D and bumpy,  and my models top is also patterned and looks quite rough, i think this makes the image look more interesting because there is a lot more to see than just a women placed in the image, if you look closely at the image you can see different types of texture and detail.

In this image if you look closely you will notice there are a lot of different textures, for example the background is very bumpy and rough, however the models arms look very smooth, and then there are the gems on the dress which are also quite rough like the back ground, i like how i have edited this image as it really brings all the different textures out as you have rough, then smooth, then rough again, which creates a kind off pattern with the textures. i think using a range of different textures can make the image look a lot more exiting as it isn't just a picture of a dress, it's a picture based on fashion, and the topic fashion can create a lot of textures within an image. I like how this image is made because the background is very dark, however the dress is very light so its like opposite colours, which is what the photographer Marco Tenaglia does. I also like the style i have made this image, i like how i have made it look quite old and vintage, it doesn't look like a recent photo it looks fairly old, i like this style on images as i think it makes the image look more interesting and shows more emotion.

In this image i have taken it at eye level, so that you are closer to her eyes and can see them a lot easier. In this image i have used some of Lee Freidlanders work as he using a lot of reflections and shadows, i have used reflections from the glasses which i think makes the image look more interesting to look at, because instead of the image just wearing glasses, she could be looking at something through the glasses that we don't know about, or this could be hiding her identity by covering up her eyes. I have also used some off Marco Tenalia's work as he has opposite backgrounds to the models outfits/accessories, which is what i have done here by having a ligh background with the model wearing very dark clothes, this draws more attention to the model. i like how i have made my model stand, as she is touching every side of the box that she is in, which i think looks different and the image doesn't look empty it looks quite busy.

I don't like this image that much because my model is in the middle of the image which i think looks quite plain and boring, is also isn't doing an interesting pose which looks dull and average, I don't think i will do this type of pose with my model again as i want my images to be better than just average and want my pictures to be different to others. The things i do like about this image is the different textures of the dress and the the background. The dress is bumpy and rough at he top were the flowers are, however lower down on the dress were the two pieces of cloth fall down it looks silky and smooth, then as we get to the wall this is also quite rough and bumpy, however as we get to the models hair it looks smooth and silky like the bottom of the dress, and her hair falls nicely without us having to style it.

I really like this image even though it is simple, This is a very different image from the others i have taken as this model has no make-up and hasn't done anything with her hair (natural beauty), I chose this model as i wanted to try something different and see if it worked as well as my others and i think it has, even though the model isn't wearing any make-up and hasn't styled her hair this is still fashion as she is wearing fashionable clothes and jewelry. When i researched about Fashion, it can be anything from Make-up, to accessories and hair styles, so this photo still fits with my fashion project.
I like the way my model is sat, as she is more to the left side of the picture and she leaves a gap at the right side, I like this because it's not straight down the middle, so even though she is doing quite a normal and simple pose, she is placed in a strange and different place in the picture.
I like the lighting and colours in this image because she is wearing opposite clothes (dark bottoms and a light top) this allows the bottom and the top not to clash and lets both pieces of clothing to get the same amount of attention and allows them both to stand out equally. I like how the lighting its bright but at the same time its dark, for example her hair in colour is really bright blonde however when i cam to editing this image i put the brightness down so her hair looks a bit darker. My model looks quite calm and natural in this image, I like the image like this because it doesn't look like i have told her to sit there and pose, its come to her naturally. I have used the golden triangle in this image as when you turn the triangle around most of my model is in one triangle only.

I have taken the image at low vantage point, i have taken it like this because she is looking at the camera and by taking this image at eye level i allows us to look straight into her eyes.
I have taken this image of my model on the floor because i don't have anyone other images like this. The lighting in this image is quite bright which makes the white background even lighter, i wanted the background to be very light so that Emily's clothes stand out more, In some of my images i have chosen a light background and then made my models wear dark clothes, or the other way around. I like doing this because it makes the models clothes stand out and the outfits don't clash. I like how my model is sat as she looks very laid back and confident. I have cropped this image so that Emily is right in the middle, i have done this so all of the focus is on Emily only. I have taken this photo in the studio which makes the image is self look more professional, By doing this image in the studio it was also a lot easier for me to edit, as i didn't have to blur the background out like i did with the ones taken in my bedroom, as my wallpaper is bumpy. I have also noticed that Emily's hair stand out a lot because the back  ground is very light. By having this light background Emily's accessories stand out (watch, necklace and glasses). The reason i have taken this at low vantage point is because i wanted to get to the same level as Emily, i didn't take it on a low angle though because this would have made Emily look very powerful and i didn't take it at a high angle because it would have made Emily look weak.

I have chosen to do this image in black and white because Emily looks quite serious and i think black and white bring more emotion out in this picture. I like the way i have made Emily stand on this image because she is looking serious and wit the hands on the hips i think that makes the seriousness stand out even more, I think the whole way she looks and is stood makes her look powerful. To make her look more powerful i could ave take this at a low angle so she looks bigger and taller. The lighting in this image is quite different because from the left side is it quite bright however as you get nearer to the right the lighting slowly blend in darker. I like what my model is wearing in this image because the necklace and top go well together. I like how the background is very simple but Emily's top isn't as its checkered which looks good next to a simple background. I have taken this image at Vantage point, the same height as Emily's eyes so that you can look straight into her eyes as she is noticing that the camera is there. These images of Emily are a lot different to the images of the other models as Emily isn't wearing that much make-up however my other models are, but in Photoshop i put some colour to her lips which make her look like she was wearing a bit more make-up than she actually was. i have made Emily more to the left side of the image so that she isn't just bang in the middle for every image, this makes the image more interesting.

This image of Emily is very bright which creates a happy mood and again in this image we have a light background and then dark clothes, which makes her outfit and accessories stand out more. I like this image because she is doing a different pose to other images and has her checkered shirt tied around her waist which is different. I like how Emily's shoes are a totally different colour to her outfit as this makes her shoes stand out more, however the shoes still go with the outfit because there is red on them. The main Focus in this image is were Emily is holding the necklace, I waned the focus here because normally the focus would be on the models face or the outfit and i wanted it to be different. The darkest value in this image is my models trousers and top and shadow, however the lightest value is the background. I think the background and the outfit goes well because they are opposites. I have chosen to have Emily not looking at the camera, i wanted Emily's images to be different from eachother, so instead of her doing the same pose all the time i have made her do different things. There is lots of space on Emily's left hand side.
I am happy with the result of this image because Emily looks very confident and laid back, I also like how her hair falls almost perfectly. I like this image because there is lost of room left on the left hand side, which makes all of the attention go straight to Emily, we also have all of the attention on Emily because the background is very plain, which means all the detail and business is on emilys shirt ect. I also like how this image is in black and white as i think it brings out a lot of emotion in an image, and Emily's skin looks very smooth and flawless.  I have put Emily in this position as i know Emily is confident in front of cameras (unlike some of my other models) and i know making Emily do a pose which is quite different and knowing you have to be a confident person do this pose, would work with Emily, and i know she would pull the serious/confident expression off.  I did this image in the studio as i wanted a change of location from my other images, i think working in the studio worked well because my background is very simple which means that the only object to look at in my images is Emily. I think black and white worked well with this image as it makes Emily's top look black and white, and i like how it shows the black at the bottom slowly seeping into white. I have sharpened Emily's hair up a little so that her black hair stands out from the white background, i think this was a good idea and worked well in this image because Emily'
s hair stands out a lot more than it did on the original image. I took this image at vantage point because i didn't want my image to have a power over my model, and make her look either strong or weak, i wanted the power of the image and my model to be equal. I like the lighting in this image as it makes the background grey and not pure white, i think this works better because it brings out the image much softer and not to 'in your face'.

I don't think this image worked very well, and i think i over edited it as my image started to go grainy. however i do like the idea of the image capturing the bag while my model is swinging it, this was a very hard image to take because you had to make sure that the ISO, speed shutter and aperture was right, without effecting the lighting of the image too much. I like how my model looks quite serious, and doesn't looked obvious that we have attempt this picture a lot and not succeeded. I also like how i have made my women wear black near a light background, this allows the bag and the outfit to stand out a lot more than the background. I like how i have added the texture of the background in this image because the background is simple, however it isn't plain and boring.
